you brought up the comparison of a car vs. a gun. If you do that, we must really compare them then. Can't pick and choose. Yes, driving is a privilege. Owning a gun is a right that is well regulated. Again, you made the comparison. However, where to draw the lines on which gun aka weapon? Where would you decide to ban and amend the right? Nuclear? or Fully Auto Machine Gun? or Tank? or as extreme as it gets? with or without universal background checks?

"The Gun Control Act of 1968 requires anyone engaged in the business of selling guns to have a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and keep a record of their sales. However, this law does not cover all gun sellers. If a supplier is selling from his or her private collection and the principal objective is not to make a profit, the seller is not "engaged in the business" and is not required to have a license. Because they are unlicensed, these sellers are not required to keep records of sales and are not required to perform background checks on potential buyers, even those prohibited from purchasing guns by the Gun Control Act. The gun show loophole refers to the fact that prohibited purchasers can avoid required background checks by seeking out these unlicensed sellers at gun shows."

very good. you proved a good point. there are some type of hands on training and exams, to test one's knowledge when operating a vehicle. Furthermore, the vehicle must be insured and registered even to use it. So in order to operate a vehicle:
1. Need to take exam
2. Need hands on test
3. Vehicle must be insured
4. Vehicle must be registeredNow if one wants to sell that vehicle, there must be proper documentation filed (i.e. title, registration, etc) sent to state. How is that like the laws of a gun? 1. No test required. 2. No training required. 3. Does not need to be insured. 4. Can be purchased (not in PA) but in other states without any background checks, etc. There are only 6 states that require background even at gun shows. PA only requires universal background checks on handguns sales only.

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles."

and the infamous "Thou shall not kill"
There is no "well, you shall not kill, if...or well you shall not kill, but....or well you shall not kill, only if" etc. It simply states "Thou shall not kill" PERIOD.
