About Dan

I have a wife who's a CPA, a daughter who is a pediatric dentist and a son who works in banking.

We have a Bernese Mountain Dog, a Labrador retriever and a boat. We live in Fogelsville.

For the last four years, I've been a Realtor and, for a short time, a public relations flak in the slowest of markets.

I was launched into these fields after leaving my job as a business columnist and writer in 2006, having worked 30 years at The Allentown Morning Call. 

 Real estate and print journalism are not the fields to be in, I've learned.

But then came Emmaus Patch, and there was some light. I was given a shot to be a reporter on-line.  I could interview people again and turn a funny phrase for a reading audience.

 I was alive....alive on Nov. 15, 2010, when Emmaus Patch was launched.
