ReplyThat is too much. I can't believe you had to go through all of that. And you stuck with it. Hope you enjoyed the unimpeded bonding time with your baby-after you got the MFH cleared up.

On the article Should You Let Your Baby Cry It Out?

ReplyI would say that from about 6 months or younger, we did often go in to comfort our babies when they were crying. In retrospect, I wish I had taken a little more time to savor those moments. After about 6 months of age, our kids were able to get into more of a routine and ever since then, they have been fine.

On the article Tell Us: Blame Parents for Teen Drinking?

ReplyI commend Mr. Laporta for putting this out there. Whether it is in a "controlled" setting or not, underage drinking is illegal. Parents should not support illegal activity. And, parents need to be parents, making responsible decisions for themselves and their children. It's sad that even needs to be said, but it's the truth.

ReplyA great event for the borough. A big "thank you" to all who helped to make this event possible. It is so nice to have this great event to focus on all kinds of artistic talents.

On the article Moms Talk: Please Don't Help My Kids

ReplyI can understand the bigger message this Mom is trying to send. And, I applaud her for putting it out there, because this constant hand holding is getting a little out of control. Personally, I wouldn't make it as big a deal as she has. Since it only happened that once, I would definitely talk to that Mom, but I also know that what I say is not going to change how that one person acts. So, to answer the question (after reading the blog post), yes, I do agree that children should be encouraged to do things on their own.

To set the record straight, I do respect others' opinions. It is the personal attack, name calling, and passive comments that I don't respect. The funny thing is, I think we share the same opinion on this matter-it just morphed into something else.

ReplyThanks for the tip-kinda knew that. I will leave it at that. We have gotten way off topic and I just don't feel entertaining your "arguments" anymore.

ReplyNo offense Jill, but you don't seem like a very approachable person. I trust that you are much more respectful to your children and they feel more comfortable talking to you about difficult subjects.

How PPL cuts trees is pretty ridiculous. Not sure how they determine what branches need to be cut and how, but they often mutilate trees. I understand why they are doing it, but come on, at least be a little educated on how they should be pruned. Many of them might as well be cut down entirely.
