The ambience and staff make this place 5 stars, but although the food is good, the side portions (veggies, potatoes, etc) were small. Entrées were delicious, and just the right size, but each time we left there, we were glad we had a bite to eat before arriving. No hors d'oeuvre meant we sat for a good 15 minutes after we finished our drink, just waiting for the appetizers. A little bread or some cheese bits on the table would have been nice. It would have been nice to see boiled taters on the menu, but the dishes did represent a small taste of Scotland. Warning: Make reservations, it can get very crowded, and the service can take quite a while, although the staff is apologetic.

Expensive, for diner fare, and the quality of food does not taste home-made at all. The dining room is very loud. Service is quick and cordial, and the portion sizes are huge, but again, the food taste like it came from large tins. Menu is varied, but maybe if the menu was a little smaller and they concentrated on making a FEW things from scratch in the kitchen, it would rate higher with me.

If they would smile, I would give them five stars. Service is good, they are doing the best they can. I like the Post Office, it really feels like "community". Just wish they would practice smiling. It's contagious!

What you see is what you get ... simple honest food and service with patience and a smile. Portions on the ice cream are very large, dining areas and tables are clean, and the meat comes from a local supplier. Heaven knows where McDs and BK get their meat!
