Reply"It takes a village" but calling the police demonstrates a lack of educators who have training, experience and skill in conflict resolution, behavioral management, and child development. There were no lessons learned in this demonstration of fighting force with greater force. We need wise elders, not brutish threats. Families need support, not litigation.

An hour ago it was AWFUL! 11:00 Saturday morning two cars collided near Cherry and Main. Traffic froze, on 78 and Main, both ways. Emergency vehicles fought to get through. Just close I78 interchange while the work is done!

ReplyI am not a bus driver. My child takes the bus. I value his education at SV and I am aware dollars are tight. Busing is not the place to cut the money. Many of these drivers live and work and PAY TAXES in our school district. I won't presume to know where budget cuts should be made, but drivers is an obvious hands off.

After living in Italy for a few years, the pizza in this town is VERY good, and authentic for Rome in particular.

ReplyPart of the problem with illness and disease in the American diet is GMOs. In the USA, food is not labeled GMO, but in Europe, South America and other nations around the globe, Monsanto's herbicide-laced seeds (particularly grains) are illegal. In the European Union, if a packaged food contains GMO-Round-Up Ready ingredients, that item MUST be labeled as containing a GMO food. In the United States, citizens have no knowledge of what they are consuming. Gluten-free is a healthy choice, but until Monsanto is criminalized for putting toxins in the food chain, incidents of preventable but serious food allergies and digestive diseases will prevail.

Agree. Oklahoma Bombings were not done by terrorists or guns, but a truck of manure. Trying to legislate evil will not stop evil. I do not want my child to be a prisoner in his building. What kind of message do we send about our children, school and community? We are NOT a fearful nation.

Our family are new residents to Hellertown, and greatly appreciate the Patch, Josh Popichak, and articles like the listing of those running for SV School Board. Teachers and the people who support them (Staff) are far and above the greatest assets in our children's education. I concur with your list. This election will have the greatest influence on residents of Saucon Valley.
