Girl at her Orefield-area school is charged after saying she would have schoolmate shot, troopers report.
An Emmaus girl was the victim of a recent shooting threat at the Orefield-area school that she attends, according to police. The 17-year-old and a 16-year-old girl from Allentown argued at the Lehigh Learning and Adjustment School at 2936 Corporate Court in Weisenberg Township, according to state police at Fogelsville. The Allentown girl about 11:45 a.m. Feb. 12 threatened to have the Emmaus girl shot as a result. The victim and teachers reported the incident to police, troopers said. The Allentown girl was charged with terroristic threats and harassment, police said.

The Emmaus Police Department released the following recent incidents pertaining to the borough: Reported Nov. 16: Arrested. Upper Milford domestic dispute brings charges.
A recent early morning argument led an Upper Milford Township man to tell a woman he would "smash her face in," according to police. Those words brought a police response and jail, according to police and Lehigh County Court records. Corey David Beitler, 42, of 4621 Mill Road argued with a 38-year-old woman at his residence at 1:38 a.m. July 15, according to state police at Fogelsville. The argument escalated into the woman being threatened that she would be hit in the face. Beitler was charged with terroristic threats and harassment. A preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Karen Devine of Allentown. A man was sent to prison on Friday after threatening several times to kill a woman at an Upper Milford Township home, according to police. Larry Jay Rikl, no age given, made derogatory comments against an unnamed woman about 5:30 a.m. at 3254 Faith Road, said state police at Fogelsville. The argument escalated to Rikl pulling the woman's hair and spitting on her. He further yelled death threats several times in the face of the woman. Rikl was arrested at the address and charged with harassment and making terroristic threats, police said. He was arraigned and remains in Lehigh County Prison on $25,000 bail.

Personally I do not care what kind of school it was, these girls are basically adults at their age, not much change in the yr or 2 till 18 and are old enough to accept the punishment received. At first I thought it was going to be a bubble gun or pencil threat made by a kindergartner or close too the age of a kindergartner,surprisingly it was a real threat though that shouldn't be ignored.   more ›
