Snow Likely in Emmaus Patch Friday Afternoon

Emmaus Patch could get a few inches of snow later on Friday, according to the National Weather Service

A quick moving storm is expected to bring snow to Emmaus Patch Friday afternoon and night, according to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service. Snow could start falling after 2 p.m. Friday and bring one to two inches of accumulating snow, making the afternoon communite slick, the Weather Service predicts. An additional inch of snow may fall overnight. Temperatures will continue to stay well below freezing over the weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet for Monday. Overall, we could see a warm up next week.

Forecast: Deep Freeze in Emmaus Patch All Week

Daytime highs will be well below freezing in Emmaus Patch for the rest of the week

There's snow in the forecast along with a big chill that will keep daytime high temperatures from rising out of the 20s for the rest of the week. An arctic air mass is bringing the coldest weather so far this season -- perhaps even colder than anything we experienced last winter, according to the National Weather Service.  It's too soon to call actual snow totals, but the storm that's a-brewin' for the end of the week could bring "plowable snowfall" to the Lehigh Valley, the National Weather Service predicts.

Weekend Weather Predictions Call for 2-6 Inches of Snow, Sleet

New report puts accumulation predictions higher than original prediction.

It's time to get the snow boots out, folks.  According to Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol, the Lehigh Valley can expect between 2 and 6 inches of precipitation in the form of snow and sleet over the weekend. The snow is predicted to begin overnight tonight and continue through Saturday.  Weather Underground and Accuweather have similar predictions. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch, in effect until 7pm Saturday.  If a storm develops, it will be the first winter weather of the season, not including the October snowstorm that left the valley blanketed in over 6 inches of snow. Predictions have the snowstorm starting around midnight and continuing through Saturday morning, bringing "All snow north of Quakertown, (with …
