Nursing Center Worker Allegedly Stole Resident's Medication
Police says she stole, then swallowed the medication from a Lower Macungie facility for the elderly.
A 36-year-old female worker is suspected of stealing and ingesting medication meant for a resident at a Lower Macungie Township facility for the elderly, police said. The unnamed employee at The Village at Willow Lane, 6488 Alburtis Road, is suspected of taking the medication prescribed for a patient, according to state police at Fogelsville. Police did not name the medication but said the incident was reported at 3 p.m. Nov. 13. Police did not say whether the employee has been charged. They said the incident remains under investigation.
