Police: Vehicle Sought in Upper Milford Hit and Run
The driver sought crossed the center line, a mirror smashed and the offender drove off, troopers report.
A driver crossed the center line, struck another vehicle, then kept going on Thursday in a hit-and-run accident reported in Upper Milford Township. According to state police at Fogelsville, a 2008 Lexus was traveling north on Chestnut Street at 8:02 a.m. The other vehicle was heading south on Chestnut and veered into the oncoming travel lane in the area of Elgin Drive. That other vehicle struck the driver's side mirror of the Lexus, police said. The Lexus driver pulled to the side of the road, but the other driver did not stop at the accident. No description of the offending vehicle was provided by police. That driver could face charges of crossing the center line and leaving the scene of an accident.

Petition on official White House website, We The People, has more than 5,000 signatures so far.
The President won a decisive victory but there are still many disgruntled Americans who are not happy with the path Barack Obama has chosen and they want their home states to secede. Petitions from more than 30 states have been posted on the White House's 'We The People' website - where individuals can post petitions and voice concerns. If a petition gets more than 25,000 electronic signatures then the White House will respond. A petition for Pennsylvania reads: "Peacefully grant the State of Pennsylvania to withdraw from the United States of America and create a NEW government." I saw the new horror movie Sinister over the weekend. It's about a true crime writer (Ethan Hawke) who discovers the subject of his latest book -- the murder of a family in Pennsylvania -- is connected to a series of similar killings that have been caught on film. Because his books have made various police departments look bad, the writer doesn't have a lot of fans in the law enforcement community. The movie illustrates this when Hawke's character moves into his new house...and is greeted by the local sheriff. And this is where the horror nerd and local government nerd sides of my brain clash. Pa. Voter ID Law On Hold Until After Presidential Election
Judge Robert Simpson ruled Tuesday that implementation of Pennsylvania's new Voter ID law be put on hold until after the Nov. 6 general election.
A judge ruled today that Pennsylvania's tough new Voter ID Law should be put on hold until after the Nov. 6 general election, according to an Associated Press report. The ruling can be appealed to the state Supreme Court, which said it would expedite any further action in the case since Election Day is just five weeks away. Do you agree with the ruling? Disgraced ex-Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky was found guilty on 45 counts of child sex abuse Friday night, resulting in an effective life sentence for the 68-year-old. The guilty verdicts include 25 felony counts. Combined, Sandusky could be sentenced to 442 years in prison. Dressed in a brown sports coat, Sandusky immediately was taken into custody and led from the courthouse in handcuffs. The jury—which included many people with close ties to Penn State—deliberated for only 20 hours on 48 charges against Sandusky. The two-week trial featured damning testimony against Sandusky, who was accused of performing anal and oral sex on boys as young as 8.
