Iron Pigs Job Fair Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cooks, ushers, vendors and more are needed for the Iron Pigs 2013 season

The Iron Pigs' 2013 Job Fair will be held on Saturday, January 19 at Coca-Cola Park starting promptly at 10 a.m. The Iron Pigs are seeking game day employees for the 2013 season in a number of areas including: ushers, Kids Zone area employees, hospitality servers, food/beverage vendors, concession stand attendants, warehouse workers, housekeeping, prep cooks, line cooks, dish washers and more. Also, Dorney Park is hiring 2,500 people for its May 2013 opening Those seeking to be a part of the IronPigs Game Day staff must be available to work nights and weekends beginning in April thru early September. Most weekday and Saturday games are played in the evening (7:05 p.m. or 6:35 p.m.) and Sunday games vary between afternoon and evening. Also…

Help Iron Pigs With N.J. Hurricane Relief Project

The Iron Pigs are collecting donations through Saturday, November 17 to help the community of Lakewood, N.J recover from Hurricane Sandy

  The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are asking fans for their support of a fellow Phillies affiliate, the Lakewood BlueClaws, in an effort to assist in the relief efforts for those impacted in the Lakewood community by the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. Fans are encouraged to bring the following items to the Majestic Clubhouse Store or the Lehigh Valley IronPigs front offices located at Coca-Cola Park to support the Lakewood community drive.  Here is a list of items needed: Donations will be accepted at Coca-Cola Park through Saturday, November 17. In addition to the IronPigs and the BlueClaws, the Reading Phillies and Trenton Thunder are also asking those in their local communities to assist the Lakewood community relief efforts. Staff …

Eric Kratz, Kevin Frandsen to Headline Phillies Banquet at Sands Event Center

Phillies Winter Banquet will be held Jan. 24 at Sands Event Center in Bethlehem

  C Erik Kratz and INF Kevin Frandsen -- catalysts of the IronPigs 2011 playoff run and two of the most popular and successful players in franchise history - will both be Guests of Honor at the 2013 Phillies Winter Banquet presented by The Air Products Foundation, Coca-Cola and the Lehigh Valley Health Network to be held on January 24, 2013 at the brand-new Sands Events Center in Bethlehem. Iron Pigs Get New Manager for 2013

Dave Brundage will replace Ryne Sandberg as manager of the Iron Pigs.

  Former Gwinnett Braves skipper Dave Brundage has officially been named manager of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for the 2013 season, as announced by the Philadelphia Phillies. Brundage replaces Ryne Sandberg, who was promoted to be the Phillies' third base coach and infield instructor. Brundage, who becomes the third manager in the history of the IronPigs, has posted an all-time managerial record of 1,085-1,026 (.514) in 2,111 career games, including a 433-422 (.506) mark over six International League seasons. The 48-year-old Brundage -- the only manager in the four-year history of the Gwinnett Braves (of suburban Atlanta) -- is entering his 16th season as a Minor League manager. Last season, he guided Atlanta's top affiliate to a 62-82 …

Play Ball in Iron Pigs' Park, Help Boys & Girls Club

Easton Boys & Girls Club has teamed up with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs in hosting a corporate softball tournament to benefit the Easton Boys & Girls Club.

Listen up, Emmaus Patch! If you have always wanted to play baseball or softball in a professional stadium, you are going to want to keep reading. The Easton Boys & Girls Club has teamed up with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for a fundraiser called "Play for Kids."  The benefit, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 at Coca-Cola Park, will help raise money for the club..  The idea is to get corporate sponsors -- or individual teams willing to spend $1,000 -- to field teams for the day to play softball on the field. It's the first time the park has hosted an event of this sort. Iron Pigs Announce 2013 Schedule

The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs have set their 2013 schedule, which begins Thursday, April 4

A boatload of weekend games during the premier summer months, along with dozens of rivalry games against the Yankees', Red Sox' and Mets' Triple-A affiliates highlight the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 2013 home schedule. The sixth season in club history debuts Thursday, April 4 against the Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Park, marking the first of seven consecutive home games to commence the campaign. The 144-game schedule once again features 72 home games at Coca-Cola Park although the calendar is backloaded and includes 61 of those home dates after May 1. Also, nearly half of the games (34 of 72) are slated for weekends. The longest homestand of the year is a nine-gamer from June 25 to Independence Day Eve on July 3. Additional holiday home games…

Iron Pigs to Host 2013 Championship Game

The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and Coca-Cola Park have been selected to host the Triple-A national championship game in 2013.

Coca-Cola Park, the most visited venue in Minor League Baseball for each of the last three seasons, will serve as the host venue for the 2013 Gildan Triple-A National Championship game on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced this week. The Gildan Triple-A National Championship game is a one-game, winner-take-all contest featuring the champions of the International League and Pacific Coast League and will be televised live to a national audience on the NBC Sports Network beginning at 7 p.m. "This truly is a historic day for our franchise, our loyal and enthusiastic fans and the entire Lehigh Valley community," exclaimed IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. Pre-sales of Iron Pigs playoff tickets start July 18 for full season ticket holders and July 31 for the general public

Packs of playoff tickets for the first-place Lehigh Valley IronPigs' will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31. The following presales are available:  Full-game playoff packs cost: If available, single-game playoff tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7. The possible playoff dates for the IronPigs are Sept. 5-12. Fan are encouraged to wear blue to show support for the Pigs to "Bring Home the Bacon" - a first ever Governors' Cup in franchise history. Ryan Howard Continues Stint with IronPigs

Lehigh Valley fans will have several chances to see MVP Ryan Howard play at Coca-Cola Park this week

Service Electric broadcasters covering Sunday night's IronPigs game say Phillies' first baseman Ryan Howard will likely play three more games with the Pigs this week. The Pigs will play the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre Yankees at 7:05 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly. In another rehab start, Phillies' second baseman Chase Utley drew a huge crowd to Coca Cola Park on Tuesday. Initial reports indicate Howard will be the Pigs' designated hitter on Monday and then play first base for the other two games. Chase Utley to Play with IronPigs Tuesday

Phillies second baseman Chase Utley will continue his rehab at Coca-Cola Park as the IronPigs launch a 12-game home stand

Update 6 p.m. Monday: The game has sold out. Phillies second baseman Chase Utley will play a rehab assignment with the IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park Tuesday night. The game will start at 7:05 p.m. and will open a 12-game home stand for the Pigs. Tickets are still available. The game includes a John Mayberry Jr. bobblehead giveaway for the first 3,000 fans 18 and older. Utley has missed the whole season so far because of problems with his left knee. He played second base for the Clearwater Threshers on Friday and Saturday, showing that his rehabilitation is drawing to a close. Some reports say Utley could be back playing with the Phillies as early as Wednesday.
