Emmaus Youth Association Baseball, Softball Signups Under Way

Register online for spring baseball and softball through EYA website, www.eyanews.org.

The Emmaus Youth Association is now accepting online registrations for spring baseball and softball through the EYA website, www.eyanews.org. EYA offers baseball and softball for youngsters ages 5 through 18, in both intramural and travel programs. Signups for all programs, except travel baseball, are open until March 3. Volunteer coaches are needed for all ages, according to the EYA website. For more information on EYA spring sports, or coaching opportunities, email register@eyanews.org.

Emmaus, Upper Milford Youth Associations Seek Treasurers

Both Emmaus Patch youth associations are in need of volunteers to fill the position of treasurer within their organizations.

It’s a bit of an odd coincidence, but the Emmaus and Upper Milford youth associations have the same “Help Wanted” ad running these days. Both groups are currently in need of a treasurer. The Emmaus Youth Association (EYA) recently attempted to get the word out about the open position within its organization through a poster at the EYA booth at Emmaus Community Day. The ad for the treasurer position described the job as someone who will help to maintain books, prepare the treasurer report for the group’s monthly meeting and handle banking. Those interested in the EYA job are asked to contact the EYA president through www.eyanews.org. Emmaus Youth Association Seeks Volunteer Treasurer

Emmaus Youth Association needs someone with accounting background or experience in Quicken to fill role of treasurer.

The Emmaus Youth Association (EYA) is looking for someone to serve as the group’s treasurer, according to a “Help Wanted” ad on the EYA website. EYA is looking for someone with a background in accounting or experience with the software program Quicken to fill the volunteer post. Winter EYA Baseball Workouts Underway

Emmaus Travel and Intramural Baseball holding winter workouts.

The Emmaus Youth Association is holding winter workouts for all boys ages 8 through 12 who live in the Emmaus, Upper Milford, Alburtis and Macungie areas and plan to participate in spring Travel or Intramural baseball.   These workouts, which will cover hitting, fielding and throwing, cost $20.00 per two-hour session. Workouts will be held at Elite Sports Academy, 6330 Hedgewood Dr., Suite 310, Allentown, from 5 to 7 p.m. The remaining workout dates are: Jan. 23, Feb. 6 and 20 March 5 and 19  and April 2. Emmaus Youth Association Rita's Fundraiser Today

Cool off with an icy scoop between 4 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5. and help the EYA.

The Emmaus Youth Association is running a fundraiser at Rita's Italian Ice from 4 to 8 p.m. today. A portion of the sales between those hours will benefit the kids that participate in EYA activities. Founded in 1957, according to the EYA Web site, the Emmaus Youth Association strives to teach youngsters about teamwork through competitive play in a variety of team sports and other recreational activities.
