Whose House Should we Enter?

Emmaus Patch has no entries in the Patch Deck the House contest. That has to change.

Every time I think about the Patch Deck the Halls contest, I hear a line from an old lottery commercial in my head - "you've got to play to win." That about sums up the Patch Deck the Halls contest. All you have to do is play. And, playing is pretty easy. Click this link and upload a photo of your home all decked out for the holidays. Once you do that, you have a shot at winning $500 toward your electric bill or $100,000 for East Penn School District. At the time of this writing, Emmaus Patch has NO ENTRIES in the contest. That has to change, which means I NEED YOUR HELP. Tell me who you think should be entered into the Patch Deck the Halls contest and I will personally invite them to enter. You just have to point me in the right direction…

We’re launching our annual Deck the House Contest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in America—the best “decked” house in the country—the one home so spectacularly decorated that everyone in town jokes your holiday decorations could rival Rockefeller Center’s. Emmaus Home is Emmaus Patch Deck the House Winner

We’ll learn Friday if the Emmaus Borough home was named one of the 24 nationwide finalists, bringing East Penn schools one step closer to winning $100,000.

Joseph Dronetti's house has been named the Emmaus winner in Patch’s national Deck the House Contest. Dronetti, of 327 N. 5th St. in Emmaus, said he he has been accumulating Christmas decorations for his home for more than 10 years. He starts putting his lights up before Thanksgiving while it is still warm out and the whole process takes about a month. This is not the first time that Dronetti has been singled out for his Christmas decorating. His home has made Morning Call columnist Bill White's annual holiday llight tour for the past four years. Dronetti is one of 397 winners named from across the nation. His winning entry has been forwarded to a national Patch judge, who will select 24 finalists Friday. Each of the 24 finalists will …
