Crime Victims Council (CVC) of the Lehigh Valley, a comprehensive victims’ assistance organization, is holding its annual Spring Plant Sale to benefit local victims of crime. The sale features hyacinths, tulips, daffodils, daisies, pansies, violets, mums and hydrangeas in a variety of sizes and colors. CVC also needs volunteers to distribute forms and collect orders at their companies. All proceeds from the sale will help support services for victims of crime in Northampton and Lehigh Counties. The Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley, Inc. (CVC) plans to offer three new support groups for victims of abuse and their families starting in January 2012. Two of the support groups will meet at the CVC Easton office, 1555 Northampton St. One of the Easton groups will be a resiliency forum for women 18 years old or over, who have been sexually assaulted or sexually abused. It will meet the second Tuesday of every month, beginning Jan. 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The other Easton support group will be for parents or caregivers of children who have been sexually assaulted or abused.
