Meet Shane Pepe, new Emmaus Borough Manager

The word on the street is that a new borough manager is making his way south to Emmaus. Here's the scoop on the person behind the name.

Name: Shane Pepe Town in which you live: Nescopeck What's your educational background? What do you do for a living? Pepe is transitioning from being the Berwick Borough Manager to the Emmaus Borough Manager. Tell us why you were intrigued by the Emmaus Borough Manager position. "Emmaus is one of the most beautiful and progressive communities in Pennsylvania. It is a great place to work and raise a family. I remember back in 2007 when I met Bruce Fosselman at a PSAB Conference. He couldn’t say enough great things about the community. Emmaus Borough Manager Resigns

Craig Neely will end his career as Emmaus borough manager just shy of his three-year anniversary in the job, if council chooses to accept a letter of resignation from Neely dated Oct. 28. Neely read the letter, addressed to Emmaus Mayor Winfield Iobst and council, aloud during Monday night’s Emmaus Borough Council meeting, publicly announcing his intent to resign as borough manager effective Dec. 6, 2011. Neely asked council to refrain from voting on his resignation until council’s next meeting on Nov. 21, as he has been asked by some Emmaus officials to stay on in some capacity through the end of the year. Neely, who began his career as Emmaus borough manager in January 2009, has been involved with Emmaus government since 1998, when he …
