Emmaus Boys Fall to Parkland 39-36

Parkland Trojans now advance to the 4A basketball final on Saturday. Emmaus will get to play one more game too.

The Emmaus Green Horntets lost to the Parkland Trojans 39-36 Wednesday night in the District 11 4A boys basketball semi-final game at Freedom High School in Bethlehem. The Trojans had fallen behind early in their latest meeting with Emmaus but took the lead by halftime.  Emmaus battled back from a double-digit deficit in the second half to come within a free throw of tying the score with less than a minute to play. But the free throw was missed and Parkland held on for the win. In spite of last night's loss, the Emmaus boys will get to play one more game this season. Parkland will next play in the final on Saturday against Easton’s Red Rovers or the Pocono Mountain West Panthers, depending on who wins that matchup tonight.

Well played game by the Emmaus team. A few "questionable" calls against Emmaus could have been the difference in this game. Hold your heads up gentlemen...you had a GREAT season. Hats off to Parkland as well... Tough, well coached competitors all the way.   more ›
