Being a participant observer of business who is in business, I appreciate the information, knowledgeRead More and wisdom acquired from experiencing the experiences of the experienced with a "zooming in ... zooming out ... 360 degree perspective". Small Business Patch is a welcomed addition to Patch content. I am hoping that Small Business Limerick Patch would consider putting that content in the context of the Limerick Community. Thanks.

I encouraged them to move to Emmaus for a long time. I'm very happy that they finally did, and IRead More wish them success.

Mr. Christian, do you accept book donations? I've got a few boxes that I'd rather support you withRead More than throw them into recycling.

Oh oh McDonalds. Looks like you want to stay away from the ice machine, ice cream/shakes, andRead More Frappes according to the report. Employees need to wash hands more as well and clean around and underneath grills and fryers. Otherwise we might have some "Not So Happy" Meals.

Armetta's was inspected in January 2013 with 6 violations; now I know why I don't eat there (it'sRead More not just the nasty food)!

Yes Vicki, now that you mention it there are few non-meat choices at Panara. Do they have a mushroomRead More sandwich? A marinated tofu slice as a meat alternative would be great. And adding 1-2 non wheat flour breads would be relatively easy. They could help so many people with special dietary needs if they made a few small menu additions, not that much extra effort either.

I am a victim of Celiac disease.....Ruby Tuesday very good GF choices. Red Robin GF rolls and youRead More can purchase them fresh in a sealed 1 roll package. Snyder GF pretzel sticks are great. I make my own choc chip cookies following the nestle chip recipe but using GF all purpose flour with added guar gum.....mmmmm. Going GF I though was the end of everything...I take my own pretzels to eat while others eat garlic bread...but I feel better. Less fatigue, no more abdominal distress and no more restless leg! Life changer for sure. Picked up some weight but I also retired so I'm working on that with my little pedometer...aiming for 10,000 steps. And Panera SHOULD make a GF bread!!!
Angie Drake April 3, 2013 at 09:18 pm
Thank you Jackie for some more good suggestions! Maybe Panara will take note of Ruby Tuesday's menuRead More options and see that it could be good for their business....

I could be wrong, but I believe it has something to do with the national shoe-retailer Finish Line.Read More The chain was unable to ship to our home due to a "pending lawsuit within 50 miles" of my address. Again, that's just my speculation, but it would explain the name change....

Hate seeing any business close, especially a hyper local one, best of luck in whatever you pursue.
Angie Drake February 28, 2013 at 12:55 am

Love the blog, Angie. Did you know Barbara's Treasures Git Shop on S Broad St has GF dinner mixesRead More and soup mixes? I tried them at her last "tastings event" and it was great. They are having another on St Patrick's Day. Stop in and talk to Barbara. She has two brands she sells. One is made in the slow-cooker and one is a quick soup mix. I like the Chicken and Rice slow-cook dinner mix the best. Both are low sodium, as well.
Angie Drake March 7, 2013 at 01:40 am
Thanks ST Girl! I have fun writing it. Not ever been to Barbara's Treasures; is that Bethlehem? IRead More will have to check it out. I tend to make everything from scratch anymore. That way I know it is safe and far cheaper....
