Tomatoes and Outdoor Tunes This Week

Here's a look at the week ahead in Emmaus and Upper Milford.

The week in Emmaus is jam-packed with opportunities to see municipal government in action with meetings scheduled for Monday through Thursday in Emmaus Borough Hall: 

Monday:

  • Health, Sanitation & Conservation Committee – 5 p.m.
  • Arts Commission – 6:15 p.m. 

Tuesday:

  • Budget & Finance Committee – 3:30 p.m.
  • Parks & Recreation Commission – 7 p.m.

Wednesday:

  • General Administration Committee – 9 a.m.    

Thursday:

  • Community Relations, Planning & Development Committee – 4:15 p.m.
  • Zoning Hearing Board – 7 p.m.

Municipal cooperation is also on the calendar, with this month’s meeting of the joint Emmaus-Upper Milford Environmental Advisory Council scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday in the Upper Milford Township Building.

Family Fun Night at the Emmaus Public Library continues on Thursday at 7 p.m. with a presentation on Heirloom Tomatoes by someone from the Emmaus Farmers Market. 

You could also try to put what you learn into action on by hitting the farmers market on Sunday morning too!

Wrap up the week, and the weekend, with a relaxing outdoor concert in Emmaus Community Park as part of the ongoing Summer Concert Series planned by the Special Entertainment Commission. All performances are free and this week’s show, which starts at 6 p.m., features “Alignment.”
