Back-to-School, Paparazzi and Sleepy Stories

East Penn School District is back in business Monday and is kicking things off with gusto.

The much-talked about new walkers at Willow Lane Elementary School are heading to class on foot.

Middle schoolers at Eyer Middle School will be welcomed to the 2013-2014 school year in Hollywood style. As the students enter the building on Monday, they will be greeted by movie stars, paparazzi and a red carpet.

Not only are the kids heading to class, but the East Penn Board of School Directors is meeting Monday night too.

There are a lot of housekeeping issues on the board’s agenda, including a contract with Bayada Home Health Care for in-school nursing services.

The board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the East Penn School District Administrative Offices.

In the Borough of Emmaus, the Budget and Finance Committee meets at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Also, on Tuesday, the Emmaus Public Library is holding Sleepytime Storytime from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
