BAND OF THE WEEK-Stingy Jack

Get to know a different local band every week!!! Support the local music scene!

Introducing...STINGY JACK!

Stingy Jack was formed in late 2011. They spent the begining of 2012 writing & rehearsing material, pulling every influence from Johnny Cash,Black Sabbath,AIC to Pantera.  They didn't waste anytime & they spent 20 hrs in the studio recording a 4 song demo. From there they've been hitting stages throughout the Lehigh Valley,as well as Philadelphia, North Jersey, the Jersey Shore & Connecticut. 2013 so far has brought their biggest challenge for the band. The departure of their drummer & cofounder, Mike Groff, who left a huge void & who was instrumental since the inception. But the band is determined to carry on. They are currently auditioning drummers to fill the open spot. Stingy Jack is looking forward to hitting the stage again in the very near future!!!

Question 1: What three things would you tell someone that has never been to a Stingy Jack show to entice/convince them to come to your show?

Stingy Jack is one of the baddest, kickass bands to come out of the valley in years. We are a hard rocking, in your face band that leaves everything we have on stage. We also love to hang with our fans before and after the show.So come see what everyone is talking about but be prepared to get your arses rocked off!!

Question 2: What are three future goals for Stingy Jack?

Well, first, we need to find a drummer and not just any drummer, but one that can steer this Viking ship. We don't want to waste any time because we want to be back out there on the stage. Secondly, we intend to hit the studio again with new material this spring and continue to write. Then we plan on making our first video. So 2013 is a very exciting year for us and we are proud to be a part of the Lehigh Valley music scene.
