Introducing FLYIN BLIND...

Flyin Blind is a party rock band out of Northeastern Pennsylvania covering rock hits from the 70’s ‘til now with the occasional original tune thrown in. Formed in early 2007, when singer/bassist Mark Cook reunited with some old buddy musicians he haDn't seen since "Holy Crap, it's been how long??". The band started building a repertoire of 'crowd pleasers' and started booking gigs from local clubs to summer festivals throughout the Northeast PA region. Since then, the band has undergone numerous member changes and continued to gain popularity. In 2012, Flyin' Blind played over 100 shows including clubs, festivals, weddings, private parties, corporate events, and concert venues including the opening spot for Three Dog Night at the Mount Laurel Performing Arts Center.

Question 1: What 3 things would you tell someone that has not seen Flyin Blind to entice/convince them to come to one of your shows?

First, Song Selection. The band’s philosophy is simple-play what the people want to hear. The result? Crowd retention. At Flyin Blind shows, the crowd stays until the end of the night. More than once at the end of a performance, patrons have come up to the band to let them know that they had stopped in just to pick up a 6-pack on the way home, but they enjoyed the band so much they ended up staying the rest of night. Now that’s crowd retention!

Second, Musicianship. Flyin Blind is comprised of experienced, talented musicians handpicked from various Northeastern PA acts each adding their own unique blend of style, performance, and personality to the lineup.

Third and most importantly, Vocals. This is where Flyin Blind really shines. There is a reason why there are so many hit TV shows featuring vocalists competing to win the 'grand prize of fortune and fame'. It’s simple-audiences crave great vocals. So Flyin Blind works hard to make sure that's exactly what the audience gets!

Question 2: What are 3 future goals/plans for Flyin Blind?

1. Flyin Blind has become one of the most popular bands in the Poconos and our 2013 goal is to gain the same popularity in the Lehigh Valley and also in Northwestern NJ.

2. This year, we intend to focus on writing and recording more original material.

3. Many members of Flyin Blind have opened for national acts throughout the years including Molly Hatchet, .38 Special, The Outlaws, and now Three Dog Night this past year. Our third goal this year is to secure more opening spots for national acts at local concert venues.
