How Hot is Your Chili?

Is your chili the hottest? Your apple pie the sweetest? Your stomach the biggest? 

Well, now’s the time to find out by registering for one of the cook offs or contests planned for the Emmaus Main Street Partners Farewell Summer Festival on Sept. 7. 

The contests kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a Dog Costume Contest at The Spotted Barkery. For more information, contact Cindy at 610-965-2412. 

The rest of the contest schedule includes:

• 11 a.m. – Apple Baking Contest for Amateurs at the Emmaus Run Inn. Sponsored by the EMSP Retail Committee. $5 entry fee. Contact Julia at 610-965-9025.
• Noon – Hot Dog Eating Contest at Traub's Doggie. Sponsored by Traub’s Doggies. $10 entry fee. Contact Andrea at 484-225-2155.
• 1 p.m. – Banana Split Eating Contest at Creamery on Main. Sponsored by Creamery on Main. Contact Bill at 610-928-1500.
• 2 p.m. – Chili Cook Off at David's Electric and the Emmaus VFW. Sponsored by the EMSP Retail Committee. $10 entry fee. Contact Jeff at 610-965-9734.
