Emmaus Pool Might Reopen Soon
Initially, Borough staff feared the repairs to the main pump might close the Emmaus Pool for the season, but the latest report sounds more hopeful.
The Emmaus Community Pool, closed Wednesday for repairs to a broken pump, might reopen sooner than originally thought, according to a report in the Express Times.
Early Wednesday afternoon, Borough Manager Shane Pepe said the Public Works staff feared that the earliest the pool could reopen was Labor Day weekend. But he later told the Express Times that the borough might be able to open the pool for this coming weekend after some minor repairs to get the pump up and running.
The Public Works staff has to order a part and then install it in the pump, he said.
