Western Lehigh Soccer Club Takes Second in Beach Tourney
Boys' team plays four games on sand in Wildwood, N.J.
Proud Mom and Emmaus Patch reader Melissa Hirschhorn reports that the Western Lehigh Soccer Club U9 team, based in Emmaus, made a pretty impressive showing at a recent tournament in Wildwood, N.J. Her husband Lee is the team's head coach and her son Sam is one of the players.
The tournament, called the Cape Express Beach Blast, was held in Wildwood, N.J. on July 15 and 16. The boys played four games and took second place, with a 6 - 4 loss in the fourth game, Melissa reports. The event is a five-against-five plus goal keeper sand soccer tournament.
