St. Ann's CYO wins State Championship

Basketballl team defeats St. Joseph of Orefield

The Church of St. Ann Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) high school basketball team won the 2011 Pennsylvania State CYO High School Championship on Sunday. The game was hosted at Immaculata University.

With an overall record of 22-1, the St. Ann's team advanced to the state championship after defeating Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the district championship at Holy Name High School in Reading earlier this month.

The team was coached by Allen Fick and Eric Nieser.

Team members include players from Emmaus and Central Catholic high schools, as well as parishoners from the :
