Emmaus Athletes Perform Well in Steelman Triathlon

Councilman R. Erick Reinhard among the Emmaus winners at the Aug. 7 event.

More than 1,100 athletes competed in the seventh annual Steelman Triathlon at Lake Nockamixon State Park on Sunday, Aug. 7. The event benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley. 

Patch user and race participant Kami Reinhard reports that Emmaus athletes made a strong showing throughout the day, including: 

  • Jonna Trexler, the overall 1st place female winner of the Olympic distance
  • Kelsey Coates, 1st place age group winner, 16 - 19 age group
  • Kami Reinhard, 1st place age group winner, 30 - 34 age group
  • Eileen Maguire, 3rd place age group, 50 - 54 age group
  • Alison Hudak, 5th place age group, 50-54 age group
  • R. Erick Reinhard, 2nd place age group, winner 35-39 age group

R. Erick Reinhard, she also points out, is an Emmaus Borough Councilman and Sunday’s event was his first triathlon.
