Weather Makeup: East Penn Students Head to Class Friday

Friday, Feb. 15 is no longer a holiday in East Penn School District and instead will be used to make up days of school missed due to bad weather earlier in the year.

East Penn School District is open for business as usual on Friday, Feb. 15, a day originally set as a holiday and a potential snow makeup day on the school district calendar.

The East Penn Board of School Directors voted at its December 10 meeting to change Friday to a makeup day.

According to the calendar changes approved by the board, all elementary schools in the district will be in session for a full day Friday.

Dismissal for Eyer and Lower Macungie middle schools and Emmaus High School will be at 11 a.m. on Friday.

February 14 had originally been scheduled as an early dismissal day at the middle and high schools and the administration decided it made more sense to bring those students in for a full day on Thursday and move the early dismissal day to Friday.
