Seven Gen Asks for Charter Extension

East Penn will conduct evaluation of Seven Generations Charter School before making decision.

Superintendent of Schools Thomas L. Seidenberger told the School Board Monday night that is requesting a five-year extension of its charter.

The district, he said, is bound by state law to perform an evaluation of the charter school before making any decisions, and Seidenberger said he would expect the process to be much like a Middle States visit.

Seidenberger said he will talk to other districts to learn more about how they are conducting their charter school evaluations and then come back to the board with a recommended process for conducting the Seven Gen evaluation.
