Local Students Gather Honors at Wilkes University

Some earned a sheepskin, others made the dean's list.

Two students from Emmaus area were among the 301 students who earned degrees from Wilkes University following the fall 2013 semester, according to a press release from Wilkes. 

Those students include:

  • Ian Beitler, of Emmaus, Master of Science in Education
  • Kristin Hubbs, of Emmaus, Master of Science in Education.

Also, Wilkes Interim Provost Terese Wignot named Lauren Gunn of Emmaus, to the Dean's List for the Fall 2013 Semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Wilkes University, founded in 1933, was recently named one of the fastest growing universities in the United States by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
