Lincoln Students Say 'Thanks'

A thank you card made by Lincoln Elementary School students to show their appreciation for the work done at their school this summer was presented to the East Penn School Board at Monday's meeting.

Miss Manners would have been proud of the students at Lincoln Elementary School if she were at Monday night's meeting of the East Penn School Board.

That's when East Penn Superintendent of Schools presented the board with the giant thank you card the students made to show their appreciation for all of the work done at their school this summer.

That work included a new roof and a new playground, according to Seidenberger, who quipped that the students likely felt the newly blacktopped and painted playground was a bit more important.

The front of the card shows a drawing of the front of the elementary school and the inside of the card, which is signed by all of the students who attend Lincoln, reads "Thank you for all of your hard work this summer! We love Lincoln."

The card was passed around to the board during the meeting.
