Lincoln 2nd Graders to ‘Report’ Live From Career Day

Students participating in Lincoln Elementary School Career Day today will "report" on the event while it is happening by updating this article throughout the program.

In addition to being the Emmaus Patch editor, I am the mother of a second grade boy who attends .

The second grade teachers at Lincoln have organized a Career Day program in which parents will come in to talk to the second graders about their jobs.

I am one of those parents.

From what I understand, the parents will be set up in “stations” and will speak to small groups of students in 15-minute rotations. I intend to make the second graders who come to see me honorary Patch editors and ask them to help me to update this article with their perspectives on Career Day and some pictures of what’s going on.

The program will run from noon to 2 p.m. If all goes as planned, additions to this article should start appearing while you’re eating lunch.

Wish me luck!

Logan says his favorite part of Career Day is that they can take pictures and that he is being interviewed by Emmaus Patch.

Brandon says his first Career Day sesson was with a second grade dad who helps people with their water if something happens to it. While he was in session one, he got to work with bolts and nuts.
