Julian Stolz Says He Will Not Seek Re-Election

East Penn School Board member Julian Stolz wrote in a Patch blog post that he will not seek re-election.

Controversial East Penn School Board member Julian Stolz said in a blog post on Patch that he does not intend to seek re-election.

"Let it be known that this will be my last term as a member of the East Penn School Board," Stolz wrote in a lengthy blog post Sunday night.

Stolz was elected to his second four-year school board term last year.

He tweeted a resignation on April 1 that turned out to be a joke.

At that time, parents were demanding his resignation because Stolz retweeted a comment by former South Carolina GOP Executive Director Todd Kincannon calling public schools "brain rotting" and saying he (Kincannon) pities the "proletariat for having to send their inferior crotchfruit to them."

Stolz is now being criticized for communicating with students on the website Teenspot.

Stolz wrote in his blog post that Teenspot is used by people in their 20s as well as teenagers.

"The last time I had a relationship of any sort with someone from Teenspot was a date in late 2011 with a girl who was 19 or 20. She was good company but it didn't make seeing the third Twilight movie any more bearable," Stolz wrote.

Stolz, 25, is a graduate of Emmaus High School and has been on the East Penn School Board since 2007.
