Five Things to Know About East Penn This Week

Here are some highlights of what's happening in East Penn School District this week.

  1. Be There or Be Square. East Penn School Board meets Monday night at 7:30 in the District Administrative Offices.
  2. 4th-Graders are on Their Own. The Alburtis Elementary School Homework Club meets from 3:30 to 4:30 on Tuesday, but this week, it’s only for 3rd and 5th graders. Fourth-graders aren’t invited this time around!
  3. Can’t Get Your Fill of Chick-Fil-A? Then be sure to come out and support Eyer Middle School’s 8th-graders for Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
  4. Sadie Who? That’s right, it’s that time of year again. Middle schoolers from Eyer will pay homage to the time-honored tradition in which the girls ask the boys to the school dance. That will be followed by that time-honored tradition in which the boys stand on one side of the gym and the girls on the other. The Eyer’s Sadie Hawkins Dance is scheduled for 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Friday.
  5. Medieval Middle Schoolers. Or Lower Macungie Middle School-ers to be exact. Friday night has been set as the 7th-grade field trip to Medieval Times. Medieval Times beware!
