Worm Composting Demonstration

Bring the kids and join Deborah Martin, author of The Complete Compost Gardening Guide, for some wiggly, wriggly fun! Vermicomposting is an easy, odorless way to recycle kitchen scraps and paper into “black gold” for your garden. You'll learn about the benefits of indoor worm composting, how to build and maintain a simple home-size bin, and leave with a set of instructions to help you assemble your own. 

This will be a hands-on demonstration with plenty of opportunities for participants of all ages to roll up their sleeves, take part in the process and "play" with the worms.
