Presentation at Edge of the Woods on Ways to Protect Streams

John Nystedt, who manages the habitat restoration projects for the Delaware Riverkeeper Network, will be at the Edge of the Woods Native Plant Nursery on Saturday, October 1st from 1 PM – 2PM, discussing DRN projects and reviewing ways property owners can help protect nearby streams.  He’ll talk about the importance of buffer plantings and habitat restoration and discuss what citizens can do on their own property.  John will lead a brief tour through the nursery, and talk about plants that homeowners and landowners can use to enhance their landscapes, attract wildlife such as birds and butterflies,  improve the ecosystem and benefit the watershed.
