"Nurturing Persistence and Resilience in Children," a lecture by Dr. Heidi Grant Halvorson

Dr. Heidi Grant Halvorson is a social psychologist and Associate Director of the Motivation Science Center at Columbia Business School.  She is also the author of Succeed: How We Can Reach Our Goals and Nine Things Successful People Do Differently. Her research focuses on how our goals and beliefs determine how we cope with difficulty, particularly in the classroom, and the strategies we can use to overcome obstacles to success.  Dr. Grant Halvorson is also a popular blogger for Huffington Post, Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Fast Company, and Psychology Today.
