Emmaus Resident Inducted into Honor Society

Students from our area are making the grade in higher education!

Lauren Gunn of Emmaus was recently inducted into Tri Beta Honor Society, according to a press release from Wilkes University.

Gunn was named a full member into the Theta Delta Chapter of the national Beta Beta Beta biological honor society, along with an additional 15 students who were inducted as associate members of the society during a recent ceremony at Wilkes.

Full members are juniors or seniors who have successfully completed at least 16 credits in biology with at least a 3.25 GPA and a 3.0 overall GPA.

Gunn is a junior biology major. Gunn is the daughter of Geoff and Sharyn Gunn.

According to the Wilkes release, Tri Beta was founded in 1922 as an honor society and professional society for biology students and in 1925 became a national organization. The Theta Delta Chapter was installed at Wilkes in 2001.
