East Penn Students Likely to be in Class on Valentine's Day

East Penn School District will probably use Friday, Feb. 14 as a make-up day for Friday's snow closing.

The impact of last week's snow storm may be felt in East Penn School District well into next month, with the district likely using one of the two scheduled days off around President's Weekend -- Feb. 14 -- as a make-up day for Friday's snow closing.

East Penn started 2014 already having used the two snow days built into the school calendar, according to a Dec. 19 post on the school district's website. Friday's school closing, as a result of a winter storm dubbed "Hercules" that rocked much of the east coast, brought yet another snow day for East Penn.

The post on the district website alerts parents that another snow day between Dec. 19 and Feb. 13 would probably mean that the district would make Friday, Feb. 14 a regular school day.

The East Penn School District calendar currently lists Friday, Feb. 14 and Monday, Feb. 17 as closed for President's Holiday.
