East Penn Schools on 2-Hour Delay Monday

Effects of winter storm causes East Penn School District to implement two-hour delayed opening for Monday, Dec. 9.

Wintry weather has caused East Penn School District to call for a two-hour delayed opening Monday. Kindergarten is on a modified schedule.

Here’s what a modified kindergarten schedule means, according to the East Penn School District web site:

AM/Morning Students: 
Ride the regular bus from home with pickup at the bus stop delayed two hours.

School will begin at 10:55 a.m. Students will be dismissed at 12:35 p.m., which is one hour later than usual.

PM/Afternoon Students 
ride the regular bus from home with pickup at bus stop delayed one hour.

School will begin at 1:25 p.m., which is one hour later than usual. Students will be dismissed at the regular time – 3:30 p.m.

winter weather advisory remains in effect for Lehigh County until 10 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters continue to call for rain for the East Penn area through 1 p.m. today.
