East Penn School Board Explores new Technologies, Salutes Retiree

Group says hello to electronic record-keeping system and goodbye to Eyer Middle School principal

A presentation by East Penn School District’s director of technology and the EPSD Web master and the upcoming retirement of a middle school principal were the focal points of last night’s meeting of the EPSD Board of School Directors.

Michael Mohn and John Stabinger spent about 30 minutes discussing a proposed project that would provide students with an electronic portfolio of their schoolwork from kindergarten through high school.

The pair is currently exploring two different systems that would enable EPSD to offer its students these e-portfolios, and the district may ultimately maintain these files for up to two years after high school graduation.
