East Penn Releases 2011-2012 School Calendar

East Penn has put a downloadable version of the 2011-2012 school calendar on the district's website. The calendar was approved at Monday's school board meeting.

The year 2012 is a leap year, so there are 29 days in February. But good news for students, next year's calendar contains the same number of school days 184, as this year.

Also like this year, 2011 and 2012 has just two snow days built into the schedule. The brutal winter forced schools closed seven times this year. That required the board to approve additional makeup days at an earlier meeting in February.

Graduation for the class of 2011 is June 11 at Stabler Arena. For the class of 2012, graduation is tentatively scheduled for June 9, 2012.
