Upper Milford Woman to Run for Township Supervisor

Zionsville resident Joyce Moore will run on the Democratic ticket for Upper Milford Township supervisor in November.

Joyce Moore, longtime Zionsville resident, announced her bid for Upper Milford Township supervisor Tuesday at the township building.

The owner of Joyce Moore Financial Services, Moore, 57, is a Chartered Financial Consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She also is an active member of the Lehigh County Democrats, having served as Emmaus Neighborhood Coordinator during the 2012 Obama campaign. In fact, Moore was called upon to introduce Second Lady Jill Biden during an October campaign stop in Wescosville.

Moore attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has served as a board member of the Spring Garden Children’s School and The League of Women Voters. She is an active member of the Sierra Club and the Appalachian Mountain Club. Listed in Who’s Who in American Women since 1989 and Who’s Who in America since 1990, she is the mother of two, Will and Kris, and was a Cub Scout Den Leader and an assistant scoutmaster for BSA Troop 31, Minsi Trails Council.

A former Glendon borough councilwoman and council vice president, Moore is looking to replace longtime supervisor and current supervisors chair, Daniel J. Mohr of Vera Cruz, on the three-person board. Mohr's seat is the only one up for re-election this year.
