Emergency Management Workshop Planned in Upper Milford

The Upper Milford Township Board of Supervisors will hold a special workshop session to hash out updates to the township's emergency management plan on March 12 in the township building.

Emergency management and the need for a better way of handling things in the township when catastrophic events like major storms hit has been a topic of discussion often at meetings of the Upper Milford Township Board of Supervisors in recent months.

Typically, concern for elderly residents and the need for some type of an emergency shelter within the township to deal with hardships like extended power outages has been part of the conversation.

Now, the township intends to take the conversation one step further, with a special workshop session scheduled for March 12 at 7 p.m. in the Township Building, solely dedicated to the topic of emergency management and updating the Upper Milford Township emergency management plan.
