Upper Milford Hires Secretary/Treasurer

Joni McPike, of Topton, held a similar job in Longswamp Township.

Upper Milford Township has hired a new secretary/treasurer and office manager, Joni McPike of Topton Borough.

McPike, 50, started in her new position on July 5. She replaces Kimberly Shaak, who submitted her resignation, effective May 30, after serving in Upper Milford for more than nine years.

McPike previously served for more than 10 years as treasurer and financial director for Longswamp Township in Berks County. She also is a council member, serving in her second year of a four-year term, in Topton Borough.

Upper Milford initially received 70 applications for the position of secretary/treasurer and office manager. Township officials narrowed the list to five finalists before choosing McPike for the position.
