State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie and businesswoman Lisa Scheller are leading the Romney campaign in Lehigh County

State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, himself running for re-election this term, is co-leader of the Mitt Romney campaign in Lehigh County, according to a PoliticsPa report.

Mackenzie was to fill the unexpired 134th House District term of state Rep. Doug Reichley, who . Mackenzie is now running for his first full term in the state House and is opposed by financial advisor of Emmaus.

, who ran for Lehigh County commissioner last year, is co-leader with Mackenzie of the Romney campaign in the county.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent, running against Democrat Rick Daugherty, is a state co-chairman of the Romney campaign.

Gov. Tom Corbett and U.S. Pat Toomey are leading the effort to win Pennsylvania for Romney.

There are no ads airing in PA on either side and Obama is consistently polling ahead by over 7 points - but Romney and the PA GOP say that the state is up for grabs, PoliticsPa said Friday.

Thank you, TH. We've corrected that error in the story. Appreciate your comment!

I am embarrassed to live in a state that is so ignorant as a whole that it might reelect President Obama. Look around people. Our families are suffering, our communities, schools, not to mention , the world around us. It is time for real change. We need true leadership in the White House. Do we really want a president that has time to sit down with David Letterman and a radio DJ named Pimp with a Limp, but NOT Prime Minister Netanyahu? Four Americans were assassinated and he still went campaigning. Wake up Pennsylvania!
Elsa September 15, 2012 at 04:09 PM
I agree Barbara Pa has their electorial votes decided by Phila and Erie. Sad for the rest of the state. Obama may be a nice guy but his inexperience has rendered him ineffective jimmy carter suffered from the same issues. If people actually knew what the president's job is then they would measure him accordingly. Not by the inane promises he makes and can NEVER keep because it is not his job. Time for a change.
Patricia Roblin September 15, 2012 at 04:15 PM
Obama 2012! Nice regurgitation of Fox News talking points Barbara. Our best hope for change is not a new President, but a new Congress for our President. Show those teabagging obstructionists the door!! Mitt Romney was the best they could come up with?! He thinks $250,000 is middle income? He has the balls to stand before a camera and smirk about the attack in Libya? He doesn't show his tax returns, he makes millions at Bain shipping those jobs overseas and putting thousands out of work. I could go on and on. He is a pox on us God help us if he wins, but he won't. I can't wait to see the debates.
Patricia Roblin September 15, 2012 at 04:22 PM
I love reading people's self satisfied comments that Obama didn't do enough in four years. Puhleeze!! Mitch McConnell was stupid enough to be caught on camera saying his number one objective was to get Obama ousted, not working for the people. And "I am embarrassed to live in a state so ignorant as a whole" to have elected Toomey and Corbett. Voter ID laws?! Omg. Let's just disenfranchise whole swaths of American citizens from their right to vote!!
Barbara September 15, 2012 at 05:07 PM
Way to go right into liberal talking points Patricia and avoid COMPLETELY my concerns. Fox News doesn't tell me how to feel. My family, my community and my schools are struggling. Can you address the facts? Americans are struggling. Also, you didn't address my concerns regarding our president's use of his time. Why don't you puhleeze educate all of us as to the MANY great things Obama has done for us. Puhleeze don't tell me Healthcare because my costs have gone up and my coverage is less! Try not to go off the tracks with your reply!

Obama stopped the economic freefall bequeathed to us by the Republicans. Obama didn't start any wars. In fact, he ended that asinine war in Iraq that Bush started. He took care of Osama & has refused to suck up to Bibi, who is itching to start World War III. That's just what we need, another war. Are we better off than four years ago? You bet!
Elsa September 15, 2012 at 10:44 PM
The war in Iraq was not asinine to the soldiers who fought and captured Hussain You sound like such a whiny liberal who loves the wars your party starts and doesn't support the wars that anyone else starts. You should be glad that freedom, however short lived it will be if Obama gets another four, is what gives you the right to speak. My cousin did two tours of Iraq and he felt it was necessary

Obama 2012! Nlet's get dent out of office too we need a progressive shift!
Patricia Roblin September 16, 2012 at 02:19 AM
Barbara I have no problem with the way Obama manages his time. I will list a few things he has done: Bin Laden is dead and the Auto Industry is alive. The Affordable Care Act makes health insurance more secure, affordable, and accessible for all Americans. I personally am glad my young adult children are still covered on my plan until the age of 26. The war in Iraq is over, and we are scaling down in Afghanistan. Don't ask, Don't tell repealed. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau created to protect borrowers from lending fraud and tricky fine print. Expanded direct college student loans, kept interest rates low. DREAMERS can now legally work, enlist, and go to college. Raised fuel standards and investments in green energy.

Also, I do agree with you that things are far from the way they should be, but to pin the blame on Obama is ridiculous. The Repubs have filibustered him at every turn, voting against all he puts on the table. We are the ones getting screwed. But it is not his fault, he is a good man and making hard decisions to do the best he can for us. I truly believe that. He has lived through that things we do (mother dying of cancer battling the insurance companies, student loan debt, hard struggle), so he can empathize. Mitt Romney has a silver spoon so far up his ass he is clueless to our struggles as regular citizens. He also has a cruel streak, strapping a dog to his roof, and pinning down a gay fellow student and shaving his hair off. Strikes me as a sociopath, quite frankly
Sue September 17, 2012 at 02:41 PM
Patricia, I feel sorry for your ignorance and sorrier still that you are part of our electorate. It's not his fault, he is a good man...wake up liberal losers! Hopefully us dependents will come through!
Sue September 17, 2012 at 02:41 PM
Patricia Roblin September 17, 2012 at 05:14 PM
Not only I am I part of our electorate, I am working to re-elect Obama which includes canvassing, phone banking, and registering like-minded citizens to vote. There are LOTS of us. :)
Sue September 17, 2012 at 10:02 PM
God help us!
Sue September 17, 2012 at 10:09 PM
Oops...I said GOD!
John September 18, 2012 at 12:12 AM
@Patricia, did you just take your head outta the sand in 2011? Filibuster? Maybe you weren't aware that the Dems had both Senate and House...flashback to that witch Nancy Pelosi? I don't blame you, I try forgetting her as well. Please respond to any of the REAL IMPORTANT POINTS. 1. Foreign policy...even with the middle name of HUSSEIN, apparently he isn't fooling the Islam radicals either. 2. Had you lost a soldier during these wars,...you don't expect your Prez going to VEGAS BABY. 3. Economy...it's coming back....when? 4.housing...see#3. 5. ENERGY.....go get some gas....wait till your winter heating bills come in 6. Stopped the economic free fall??? See #'s 1-5. Oh, healthcare....do me a favor....take a number, get comfy...if obamacare hits 2014, you will feel the pain. I am glad you are supporting your candidate...so we can blame you and those supporters come 2014......please take time to read Mr Obama's increased taxes in 2013 thru 2015......hmmmmm, wonder why all of his ideas son take effect till 2013.......
Patricia Roblin September 18, 2012 at 01:22 AM
Hussein? Really? How transparent you are John, to try to bring the whole tired birther thing into the conversation. He was in Vegas? So what. He is in a lot of places, it's campaign season, and Vegas is one of the hardest hit areas in this recession. The price of gas is driven by speculators, not Obama, duh on you. Healthcare will now be accessible by many more people under Obamacare. That is a humane benefit of Obamacare, or would you rather people just drop dead? You're one of those 'pull yourself up by your own bootstraps' kind of guys aren't you? You built it yourself? Well, the repubs have cut the bootstraps. I never felt more confident in an election before. Obama 2012! Lots of RINOs are voting for him, here is a nice story of just one person who is, you might find it interesting this person is a wealthy business owner. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/17/1132739/-My-white-male-millionaire-friend-is-voting-for-WHO?detail=hide
Patricia Roblin September 18, 2012 at 01:54 AM
This is your guy folks, think he represents YOU?! http://themessageis.com/secret-video-reveals-real-romney/
Sue September 18, 2012 at 12:18 PM
Wow a truth teller in politics. He isn't saying anything that isn't true. Yes he represents me and a whole lot of other people. I notice that you still haven't addressed the issues. You haven't answered me or John. Just keep regurgitating the dem talking points. Reminder...DON'T go off the tracks! Btw ...bet you are one of the entitled!
Patricia Roblin September 18, 2012 at 01:02 PM
Sue, I am far from entitled, I work like a dog to live. Divorced, two kids in college. I addressed the issues. Must go to work now. No time for debate this morning. I think I am done anyway, it is pointless as it seems you all are completely set in your point of view. Peace.
Sue September 18, 2012 at 01:24 PM
Different Sue, but I changed my political affiliation from Democrat to Independent BECAUSE of Obama. He's a cancer that needs to be stopped.
John September 19, 2012 at 12:09 AM
@patricia, I am sorry to see you checking out of the debate. Yes, I "am one of those" bootstrap kinda guys. I AM "one of those" who will PAY for your humane Obamacare, "one of those" who will see a tremendous tax on his business and personal lives, AND I am one of those who will fire any Obama supporter who thought working for me and re-allocating wealth...well, since I have to pay bills for people such as yourself anyway, I WILL NOT be paying a salary for "ONE OF YOU" anymore. Once your leader wins, There is no reason to scurry to remove your FORWARD bumper sticker, because "ONE OF US" will be re-allocating your salary to another boot-strap kinda person. Yeah, so re-allocating wealth is a two-way street. As for Obamacare and Vegas, I will make 2 points. Adding 30 million other "your types" to a system will flood an already bursting healthcare system. Lots of "your kind" utilize emergency rooms, receiving the same kind of treatment as us "bootstrap guys" who have insurance. Finally, you obviously don't have loved ones in this country's service abroad, where these animals will kill just for kicks. Of course your boy, COOLIO HUSSEIN can hang in Vegas, hiding, only to arise on Monday on Letterman, then on to see Beyonce and Jay Z, while our troops provide the cover and shield to allow us the Ed of free speech, liberty and freedom. For a guy who was supposed to be such a great orator, I would have expected SOME response, rather than hiding in Vegas.
