Why are you running for Lehigh County Commissioner?

Through the past year there had been major cuts to our public safety system, social services, and grant money that was awarded to our local businesses but then sent the money back to the federal government because of an ideology.  The county has alienated our local municipalities by trying to eliminate the Green Future Fund money that helps preserve parks and open space for generations to come. You the people voted 2-1 in favor of this grant and the current District 5 commissioner went against your vote and said, "I know what is good for you."  We need true public servants. A person that listens to the voice of the people and is willing to go door to door and work on your behalf. The Federal and State government puts mandates on the local municipality to provide such things as handicap ramps on sidewalks but they also provide the monies for those projects. We as local municipalities apply and get awarded those monies  so we do not have to raise local taxes to do these mandated projects. This is your taxpayer money coming back to your town to do projects that normally would not be accomplished. We need to work together as a team and for the people There is no place in Lehigh County for Washington style politics. After 6 years serving Emmaus Borough as a Councilman I look forward to serving you.

What qualifies you to serve on the county board?

I have been on Emmaus Borough Council for 6 years Chairman of Community Relations and Economic Development Committee. Also a member of the Public Safety and Public Works Committee.  May full time job is constantly managing employees and the job site itself and making sure the project comes in at or under budget.

What do you see as the board's primary role and responsibilities?

To provide essential services Prison, District Attorney offices, Judicial, Human services such as Cedarbrook and meals on wheels also to provide a  quality of life that we all come to enjoy.

Tell us about three major challenges facing Lehigh County and how you would address them. (Please be as specific as possible):

1) Balancing the budget. I would work together with our elected directors such as the DA's office, the coroner, Prison, Cedarbrook

2) Streamlining and having depts work more efficantly. Hospitals and nursing facilities are now being required to go to Electronic medical records for there patients. This is a big project for the county but it is required to do.  Brining in technology and the training will help the county work more effectively and efficiently.

3) Washington Style Politics have no place in Lehigh County.  I will and have invested my time as an Emmaus Borough Councilman to go door to door and listen to the concern of the people and  and take the concerns back to council and do something about it.  We do not need politicians we need servants that understand our municipalities and communities.

How much are you spending to run? How is your campaign being funded?

About $3,000 and through friends and family donations

What, if any, endorsements have you received?

I have received many local endorsements through out my community
