I started my first business, Wesley Works, when I was twelve.  20 years
later I now own and operate 3 award winning businesses and employee 40
people in downtown Emmaus.

Why are you running for Emmaus Borough Council?
As many voters are aware, I am running for Lehigh County Commissioner.  This
gives Emmaus residents a rare opportunity to have direct representation at a
County level, something we have not had in recent memory.  That said,
elections are legendarily unpredictable and I am eager to continue to serve
our community and this is the reason I have put my name on both ballots.

What I can tell you about my 8 years on Borough Council is I have seen the
direct benefits of good government and strong leadership.  Our town has
become recognized as a gem of the Lehigh Valley and is one of the most
desired places in the area to live, open a business and raise a family.  I
am confident that my continued energy at either the County level or here in
town will help continue forward progress and help better our community.

What qualifies you to serve on Emmaus Borough Council?
I have served with ultimate dedication over the last 8 years.  I am
passionate about keeping Emmaus a great place to live, raise a family, work,
own a business, or retire.  I study the issues, attend all meetings, keep an
open mind and am continually thinking of ways for our Borough to operate
more efficiently.

What do you see as the Emmaus Borough Council’s primary role and
responsibilities?
Borough Council has and should remain focused on serving the wants and
interests of our residents.  The people of this town have proven time and
time again, sometimes through protest, that they want exceptional services.
It is our job as Council members to provide these services in an efficient
and affordable manor.

Tell us about three major challenges facing Emmaus Borough and how you would address them. (Please be as specific as possible):
Emmaus has been headed in the right direction for the last decade.
Continued energy and innovative thinking is needed to keep us moving
forward.  We are a town that is surrounded by dedicated residents,
employees, volunteers and supportive businesses.  Good leadership will keep
these groups engaged and interested in our community.  Meaning, without
them, we would not be where we are today.   We also must continue to be
mindful of the budget, and both the short and long term effects of decisions
that are made.  Many indicators suggest that Emmaus has weathered the recent
economic downturn better than most other similar municipalities.  In recent
years Council has set out a strategy to reduce expenses and work towards
maximum efficiency.  It's a slow process - but it is working.

How much are you spending to run? How is your campaign being funded?
$0.  Knocking on doors is free and a great direct way to hear from the
residents.

What, if any, endorsements have you received?
None
