L.V. Transportation Study to Hold Public Meetings

will hold public meetings on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10am in the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) conference room, 961 Marcon Blvd., Suite 310, Allentown, PA, and at 5:30 pm in the PennDOT District 5 conference room, 1002 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA to consider the Draft FFY2013–2016 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The purpose of the public meetings is to solicit comments on this document. A meeting of the LVTS Coordinating Committee will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10am at the LVPC to consider adoption of the TIP.

The TIP lists high priority highway, bridge and transit projects for the Lehigh Valley for the period of Oct. 1, 2012 through Sept. 30, 2016. The report is available for a public review period starting Thursday, May 24, 2012. The public review period will close on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9am. The document is available for review during normal business hours at the offices of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (at the above address), PennDOT District 5 Offices (at the above address), LANTA offices (1060 Lehigh St., Allentown, PA), Allentown Public Library (1210 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA), Bethlehem Area Public Library (11 W. Church St., Bethlehem, PA) and the Easton Area Public Library (6th and Church streets, Easton, PA). The draft TIP can also be found on the LVPC’s website at www.lvpc.org.
