Emmaus Memorial Day Parade Honors Soldiers

Crowds gathered along Chestnut Street as local government and service organizations proudly marched in honor of our military.

Red, white and blue were the colors of the day as Emmaus residents lined the streets to honor our country's soldiers on Memorial Day, May 30.

The annual Emmaus Memorial Day parade consisting of local veterans, police, fire and government officials marched as a tribute to the men and women who have given our country the freedom and safety we are privileged to live with today.

Several sports teams and the Emmaus High School band were also included in the march. Despite the morning’s summer-like heat and humidity, there was no lack of observers, many of whom were small children waving the stars and stripes.

Following the parade, a moving ceremony was conducted on the Emmaus Memorial Triangle where N. 3rd and N. 4th streets converge.
