Upper Milford Artist to Hold 'Paint In' for Delegate

Kathleen D. Miller is having a well-known local artist paint portraits for donations at her barn in Upper Milford Thursday.

An Upper Milford artist will be painting portraits for a donation Thursday evening to raise money to help pay the expenses of a neighbor, Kathleen Miller, who is a delegate to the Democratic Convention in Charlotte, N.C., in September.

Kathleen D. Miller said artist and friend Barnaby Ruhe will be painting portraits from 6-11 p.m. Thursday at her restored barn at 3501 Main Road East in Vera Cruz, with a mailing address of Emmaus 18049. Miller said the convention delegates are responsible for all their own expenses getting to and staying at the convention but they are allowed to hold fundraisers to help pay their way.

There is no set fee for the portraits at the "Paint In" but participants can choose how much to give, Miller said.

"Barnaby will paint you or a family member's portrait, fast and wonderfully!" Miller said in a prepared release. "His events are always enthusiastically attended!"
