Woman Hurt in Attempted Break-in at Upper Milford Home

Anyone with information on the attempted Upper Milford break-in is asked to call state police.

A man tried to force his way into an Upper Milford Township residence  Monday afternoon, injuring the female homeowner in the process, according to state police at Fogelsville.

At 12:42 p.m. Nov. 4, police say, the woman answered her door in the 4000 block of Mill Road and was struck in the face by a man who then tried to force his way inside.

He failed to get in, police say, and then fled on foot into a nearby field. State police responded and searched the field but the man was not found.

The man was described as white with blond hair and standing about 6 feet 2 inches, police say.

The woman received a black-and-blue eye and was treated by emergency medical personnel at her home. No items were taken, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Trooper Mercatili at 610-395-1438.

State police reported an attempted break-in in Vera Cruz in September. In that incident, which also happened during the day, the person damaged the door handle but was not able to get inside, police say.
